At least thats what I do, I have a skype account. I paid for 1 year subscription of the monthly unlimited package to make calls to the USA. I also paid for a US Phone #, and i just carry my laptop anywhere i want to go and as long as i have wifi, i just make calls to family and friends overseas. Also they can call me and leave a voicemail message. Its quite cool. Although there is magic jack and vonage, but what i like about this is that its all integrated into my computer and I just have to plug in an extra usb device, not network device. All I do is plug in my ear buds and talk to frens.

Try it for yourself. www.skype.ccom

A man went to the police station wishing to speak with the burglar who had broken into his house the night before.

“You’ll get your chance in court,” said the desk sergeant.

“No, no, no!” said the man. “I want to know how he got into the house without waking my wife. I’ve been trying to do that for years!”

Always by My Side

A woman’s husband had been slipping in and out of a coma for several months, yet she stayed by his bedside every single day.

When he came to, he motioned for her to come nearer.

As she sat by him, he said: “You know what? You have been with me all through the bad times. When I got fired, you were there to support me. When my business failed, you were there. When I got shot, you were by my side. When we lost the house, you gave me support. When my health started failing, you were still by my side… You know what?”

“What dear?” She asked gently.

“I think you bring me bad luck.”

Boredom occurs when we cannot tolerate not having anything to do. The body may be at rest but our brain keeps wanting something to happen or to do.

According to Wikipedia, boredom has been defined by C. D. Fisher in terms of its central psychological processes: “an unpleasant, transient affective state in which the individual feels a pervasive lack of interest in and difficulty concentrating on the current activity.” M. R. Leary describe boredom as “an affective experience associated with cognitive attentional processes.” In positive psychology, anxiety is described as a response to a moderate challenge for which the subject has more than enough skill. These definitions make it clear that boredom arises not from a lack of things to do but from the inability to latch onto any specific activity.

There are 3 types of boredom, all of which involve problems of engagement of attention. These include times when we are prevented from engaging in something, when we are forced to engage in some unwanted activity, or when we are simply unable, for no apparent reason, to maintain engagement in any activity or spectacle.

One thing I notice about boredom is that it is usually a human affliction affecting both adults and teenagers. Very young children or kids and other living things do not seem to be bothered by boredom.

My friend Jon have a pet dog named Rocky and his job is to stay around the house and bark if he sees any strangers. Other than that, he has nothing else to do. However I have never ever seen him looking bored. Usually when there is nothing much happening, he just sit to a corner and have a nap. He will wake up when he has to and he will does not suffer the guilt that we have when he takes a nap. He doesn’t suffer from insomnia or reluctance to get up from sleep.

What I notice is that this is the same with other animals and living things that I know, not only Rocky. They do not seem to suffer from boredom.

Living in this modern world, we are taught since young to always be busy. We busy ourselves with work, education, play so much so our brain do not know how to take a rest. The evidence of this is that a normal person usually cannot stop thinking. Only very young children don’t use their brain unnecessarily.

When one’s body takes a rest, it is not long before the monkey mind starts demanding some sort of activity. It cannot stand inactivity. He or she will feel very uncomfortable and the brain will keep saying how boring it is. So eventually something will need to be done to satisfy the demands of the brain.

Now the question is, how do we counteract this affliction? Boredom is a condition where a person cannot stand doing nothing. Which means he cannot stand being himself. In other words, he does not love himself enough to feel at peace within. So, one way is to learn to love himself again and not indulge in unnecessary thinking. That way his brain learns to take rest and will not make demands on him so often. In time boredom can thus disappeared.

Yow, when i first heard Movado I was like, shocked that this singer suh brave and have so much melody taking on Kartel. I was impressed. Not telling no lie still, Kartel vicious, him have lyrics. Initially I never did rate Movado, but after a while him vibe start grow pon mi. I had the opportunity to meet both. I mixed songs for both artistes. I did a session with Skatta at Kings of Kings with Movado, when he did “Dem a Fag”. I was impressed. The Singer start improve pon him lyrics. I went to Sting 2k8 and paid attention to both artiste and the same ting again, I was impressed at how the Singer fearlessly took on Kartel. Kartel have nuff lyrics and him very lyrical, you cant take that from him, but at the end of the night/morning, a Movado win the clash. But look pon these two artistes taking it on Tune for tune. What started the clash in the first place?

But he says his childhood was difficult, even though his father was reggae superstar Bob Marley.

“I’ve lived a life many cannot imagine. Many people don’t even know half the things I’ve been through,” Marley told The Sunday Gleaner from his south Florida base.

In Dear Dad, he revisits those years of strife. He said he lived with his mother Anita Belnavis in a two-bedroom board house in her hometown of Falmouth, Trelawny, where he was born.

Belnavis was a leading table tennis player in the Caribbean in the 1970s, and one of several women with whom Bob Marley had children outside of marriage.

Marley said things did not improve after he and his mother moved to Miami, Florida, when he was nine years old. They lived in the tough, crime-prone community of Liberty City, scene of many riots during the 1980s.

“That was another two-bedroom house worse than where we were living in Jamaica,” he said.

Life changed for the better in 1994, 13 years after his father’s death from cancer at age 36. He gained a considerable financial settlement from the Marley estate which, among other things, provided for Bob’s ‘outside’ children.

“I can tell you that that was a big relief for me, my mother, my auntie. We were living on nothing, really,” Marley recalled.

He also comments on his relationship with his father’s wife, Rita, and her children for Marley but stays clear of sensationalism.

“I tell the truth; I’m not stepping on toes to create conflict. But I tell no lies,” he said.

Dear Dad, which will be distributed in five languages, was done with the assistance of a professional writer. It will be released in association with Dr Farrah Gray, the influential African-American empowerment guru who lives in Las Vegas, on what would have been Bob Marley’s 65th birthday.

Several Marley biographies have been written since the singer’s death.

Some have raised eyebrows, the most notorious being 1995′s Marley and Me, written by his former manager Don Taylor.

Rita Marley’s No Woman No Cry: My Life With Bob Marley, was released in May 2004.

Like his brothers Ziggy, Stephen, Damian and Julian, Ky-Mani Marley has focused on a musiccareer and has done fairly well. He has recorded four albums, the first being Like Father, Like Son, which was released in 1996.

His last studio effort was Radio, which was released in 2007.

He also starred in the low-budget action films, Shottas and One Love. His Living The Life of Marley reality show first aired on BET in 2007.
